HDMI splitter does not change incoming audio & video format. HDMI output audio will be identical to the audio signal in the HMDI input. The 3.5mm and SPDIF audio outputs are extension of HDMI output #4. HDMI output #4 must be active and the incoming HDMI signal must be v1.3, aka, 1080P or 3D (not a 4K signal) and the incoming audio format must be supported for them to work correctly. For the amplified 3.5mm analog audio output to have sound, the incoming HDMI audio must be 2CH stereo or mono. The audio (SPDIF and 3.5mm) extractor function does NOT support 4K signal.
